Nan Wang
I received my Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Chongqing University in China. During my Master’s degree, I worked on the conversion of biomass to reducing sugars in ionic liquids. I am now working with Professor Laurence Weatherley on phase transfer catalysis reactions. The purpose of this project is to intensify phase transfer catalyzed reactions at a liquid-liquid interface in the presence of an externally applied electrical field. I would like to pursue a career in research either in academia or industry after I graduate. In my spare time, I like watching movies and traveling.
