Crystal is working on her Ph.D. while conducting research under the supervision of Dr. RV Chaudhari. Her current research interests include the oxidation of biomass feedstocks to dicarboxylic acids. She got her Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the China University of Petroleum (East China). After graduation, she moved to Canada to continue her Master’s study and received the Graduate Excellence Award at University of Calgary for her outstanding research and academic performances. After joining the KU, Crystal was appointed as graduate teaching assistants for undergraduate MEB and mass transfer classes that help build her enthusiasm and confidence in teaching. Crystal believes that a single step forward in research makes huge difference in life. After completion of her Ph.D., she hopes to continue research works on catalysis and reaction engineering.
